Repointing:

The process of taking out and replacing the mortar (‘pointing’) from the face of a masonry joint, or between patio slabs etc. Done properly, this helps exclude the weather and delay deterioration of the wall or shifting of slabs. It involves carefully repacking the mortar sitting between the individual bricks, stone blocks or slabs. If you can easily see open joints around the mortar bed, then it is time to think about repointing.

Rookesmith’s will carefully remove all the old, loose mortar and replace it leaving a fresh, revitalised look, helping to avoid water penetration and damage.
